Senior Projektleiter / Account Manager
We are looking for a Senior Project Lead / Account Manager who will own strategic client relationships and lead complex digital projects from inception to completion. In our agency setup, this hybrid role combines account ownership, both commercial and strategic, with hands-on delivery leadership.

What you will be doing
- Account and commercial: Own project P&L; handle forecasting, pricing, revenue recognition, and invoicing with Finance/Legal; spot and drive upsell/expansion by shaping tailored solutions, building proposals, and drafting SOW for your existing accounts.
- Stakeholder Management: Advise senior executives, track value/outcomes, and manage critical escalations.
- Delivery and governance: Manage scope, roadmap, quality, and risk; plan staffing and coordinate internal/partner teams.
- Hands-on leadership: Ensure high-quality discovery, roadmaps, backlogs, and acceptance criteria; focus on documentation and enable team success through clear guidance and resources.
- People and capability: Ensure scalable growth within the team by coaching PMs and creating path to shift project delivery ownership.
We need you to have
Must-Have’s
- 5+ years of experience delivering and/or leading complex digital projects, with at least 2 years involving account and commercial ownership in an agency, professional services, or consulting environment.
- Completed university degree in business informatics, business administration, or equivalent experience.
- Proven P&L ownership: budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, invoicing, and change control.
- Proficient in project scoping, estimation, and pricing strategies, including drafting and negotiating SOWs for time-and-materials, fixed price, and retainer models.
- Confident stakeholder and escalation management up to C-level with clear, bilingual communication (German/English).
- Solid understanding of modern software delivery (agile/hybrid, SDLC, cloud/SaaS, APIs/integrations) and common web platforms (ecommerce/CMS).
- Strong analytical and commercial skills: margin focus, scenario planning, and risk/revenue management (incl. T&M revenue risks).
- Experience with resource planning/staffing and cross-team coordination.
Selected Nice-to-Have’s
- Certifications: PMP/PMI/PRINCE2; PSM/PSPO/SAFe; ITIL.
- Ability to consult and train clients in the use of advanced applications and complex systems, ensuring optimal implementation and value realisation.
- Experience with MarTech/CRO/Analytics and AI-powered solutions; knowledge of data protection/GDPR.
- Practice coordinating vendors/partners on the client side.
